Sail Manitoba is on the move!

Sport Manitoba will soon be moving into its new home at the Sport for Life Centre on Pacific Avenue. During the move, we anticipate loss of, or intermittent service for both email and phones on February 16th and 17th. We expect to be fully back in service on February 18th. Should you need to reach us during this time, please call Brigitte's cell at 771-4241. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Volunteers Wanted for Boat Show

We are looking for volunteers to help staff our and the Discover Boating booth at the Mid Canada Boat Show, which will be held March 4th - 7th at the Convention Centre in Winnipeg. If you're interested in helping out for a couple of hours, please contact our office at 925-5647.

Coaches and Instructors Wanted

We are looking to hire sailing coaches and instructors for the Mobile Sailing School, the Winnipeg Sailing Centre and the Manitoba Sailing Team for this summer. Please contact Brigitte for more information.

Green Team Grant Deadline February 16

Many clubs hire a student to help with sailing programs each summer. Under this program, the government will pay minimum wage with organizations topping up. The Green Team Grant can be accessed in all regions in Manitoba and is accepting applications for the first intake on February 16th and for the second intake on April 16th. For more details contact our office.

CYA to Offer National Race Officer and Senior National Race Officer Courses

A National Race Officer and Senior National Race Officer course will be offered at the Port Credit Yacht Club (Toronto) from March 5-8. For more information go to www.sailing.ca/events/cya_national_senior_national_race_management_seminar/

Hosts Wanted for our Mobile Sailing School

This year our mobile sailing school will offer a combined program with 6 prams for kids, 2 dinghies for youths and adults and NEW: 3 Windsurfers to all Sailing and Communitiy Clubs. Please contact the office for further details.

Bingo Dates

Friday February 19, 2010 6:00pm - 6:45pm
Tuesday March 2, 2010 4:30pm - 6:45pm
Sunday March 28, 2010 9:00pm - 11:45pm
All Bingos take place at McPhillips Street Station. Please phone the office to book your spot
