Porthole Submissions
The spring issue of the Porthole magazine is in the works and I am looking for articles, stories, pictures and of course loads of ads. Club members: please send me your stories and pictures about your winter adventures down south or overseas. Submission deadline is April 10th.
Additional Basic Cruising Course
Due to the large number of enrollments we will be offering an additional basic cruising weekend course on three Saturdays, April 17, 24 and May 1. Please register at 925-5647.
Learn to Sail at the Winnipeg Sailing Centre

Team Work Out at Focus Fitness
A
ten week work out session for all team members will start after Spring Break. It will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting April 6 at 5:30pm. Please confirm your attendance with me via email and make sure to be 10 minutes early at Focus Fitness on 181 Stradbrook, right beside the Winterclub.

Coaches Clinic
Yacht Clubs Coordinators please let me know if you have interested sailors who want to take the coaches clinic on June 21-25 at the Winnipeg Sailing Centre. Pre-requisites for becoming a coach are:
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Emergency First Aid - Must be Current
- Bronze Medallion - Must be Current
- Pleasure Craft Operator's Card
- Bronze 4 Sailing Certificate
- Respect in Sport
Copies of the certifications must be submitted to the MSA office before the clinic .

First Aid and Bronze Medallion
We are going to schedule a first aid and a bronze medallion recertification course in May. Coaches - if you are not up to date with your prerequisites or if you need to know if you are current phone me @ 925-5647.
Coaches Registration for 2009
You can register online and securely pay your 2009 dues with Credit Card by logging in to the CYA Member's Area @ www.sailing.ca.

If you want to build a stronger community through sport by increasing opportunities for children and youth to play sports, the True Sport Community Fund can help. Please refer to the Fund Guidelines at www.truesport.ca/tsfund for a definition of sport eligibility. Deadline is April 12 .
