Sad News

Sadly, Lawrence Mazur passed away on February 18, 2009. Lawrence had taken up sailing 10 years ago and competed in the Martin 16.  He was instrumental in bringing the Mobility Cup to Pelican Lake in 2004.  In memory of Lawrence, donations may be made to the Pelican Yacht Club's Disabled Sailing program .

Porthole Submissions

It's Porthole time again and I am looking for articles, stories, pictures and of course lot's of ads. Please Club members, send me your stories and pictures about your winter adventures down south or overseas.  Submission deadline will be April 3, 2009.

Thank You Boat Show Volunteers

Race Management Courses

The Race Management courses for March are cancelled and will be re-scheduled for June.  The dates will be announced in one of the next newsletters, the Porthole and on the website.

Move update

In March, the MSA office will be moved into an office on the 2 nd floor of the Sport Manitoba building before the final move into the new Sports for Life building on Alexander and Pacific in December.
