Manitoba Hydro
came again on board with a sponsorship of $10,000 over the
next two years for a new 420 for the Mobile Boating Safety
and Sail program in the Norman Region. The program focuses
on extensive boating safety lessons in the morning combined
with sailing lessons in the afternoon. Participants, mainly
from aboriginal communities, will obtain their PCOC (Pleasure
Craft Operator Card) and their first sailing level White
Sail I. This program is also recognized in the directed
funding by Sport Manitoba.
