The
2-days of racing saw light air and event that saw plenty
of sun! After the awards and dinner on Saturday, the
Opening Ceremonies for the CYA Youth National Sailing
Championships took place! A steel drum band accompanied
the parade of competitors and their coaches carrying
their Provincial and Territorial Flags. A few quick
but inspiring speeches followed the ceremonial placement
of flags by the selected flag bearer for each region,
all against a backdrop of water fountains spraying
from the firefighting vessel on the harbour. The final
standings for Manitoba:
